…Well darn.

I am back. No, I didn’t think you’d be too happy to see me again. Yes, I am back, for better or for worse.   I had a lovely summer, spent in the not-so-cool reaches of western Michigan, gallivanting about with less then a care. I didn’t do all that much besides take a great leap in my leather working, drawing a ton, attending renaissance festivals and frolicking in the waters. Watched seasons 1-6 of…

Until Next We Meet

We have left Hawk’s Mountain, and powered our way up to Michigan. It took us two days, but we got here, to Grandma H’s house. We’re here for our Uncle’s wedding, so we will be here for a week. Then we go home. Sandy Pines. For the whole summer. Our trip will be over. I’m happy to be back home in Michigan, but I’m also kinda sad that it’s over. We met a lot of…

Hawk’s Mountain

So, we made it up this mountain alive, and what a wonderful place it is. Most of our village is here (plus some new people). This place is absolutely amazing. Everyday,we climb up the mountain up to the ‘purple house’ where the Hawks live. There are two yomes (beautiful yurt-like buildings), a separate bathroom, showerroom, kitchen, and then the purple house. There are chickens, a garden, a greenhouse, a swimming pond, and a cob oven….

Blog post #??

Okay! Hello! So, I believe we left off at big brothers. Well, we got our truck fixed, and we took off with rather non-awkward farewells and promises to see each other in the summer. From there, we drove up to Chattanooga TN to see Uncle Spike! Actually, he is our first cousin twice removed, but it is easier to call him Uncle Spike. He showed us his two beautiful houses, and told us many a…

Interesting events

Okay, so I last left off…well, you can go read my last post. The trailer was fixed by noon, and we were driving through the storm by one. After another two days of driving, we got to Dallas, Texas. So, I neglected to tell you that…Well…A few weeks ago, Jacob and I learned that we have…A (half) BROTHER. Who is thirty, lives in Texas with his wife and kid and drives a convertible. So, cool,…

…Well, we left Montgomery and got on our way yesterday. We were driving, driving, driving for 5 hour straight until I peered out my window at the side mirror. To my surprise, clouds of smoke were being whipped away from our back tire. Cars honked at us until we pulled over to find that our axle spring broke, and melted our tires. So, we called out some guys with strong southern accents to patch up…

The Village: Part II

We left. Yes, we left the Village. It was a very sad affair, exchanging hugs and high fives with shiny eyed people. And yet, we pulled free of their grasps and drove until we came to a Walmart in a scary town. We boondocked there. It was 85 degrees. We had no air conditioning. Misery.   In any case, the next day we pulled out and drove for an insane amount of time to reach…

The Village

Hey! I’m back! No, I wasn’t dead. I was just spending time with my new family. Before you ask your questions, let me tell you. So, two weeks ago we met up with the FOTR (Families On The Road) rally! Yes, the ones that we saw about two months ago. It is amazing. We are all parked in one little area in the Hanna nature park in Jacksonville, and we are like a little village!…

Warmaidens

Well, there is a perfectly good reason for my not writing for so long. Last Monday, mom came down from her room and told us that the Renaissance Faire in Tampa, Florida was having a world market that weekend, and anyone who wanted to be a vender at the faire could for free. So she threw out the crazy idea that we should sign up and become a vender. We did. We had nothing to…

Of Rivets and Eyelets

So, I spent another small fortune and purchased 1000 eyelets, 1000 rivets, and about 20 different dyes…So, yesterday, all of that arrived and I made this: Yep. Not the neatest thing, but what’cha gunna do? So, I’ve been spending most of my time reading thins book called ‘Ready Player 1’ which is a fantastic book filled with video game, music, game, and obscure references, most of which I (proudly) understood. Maybe I should get a…
